He is a veteran broadcaster, with almost twenty years of experience in dealing with highly complex counseling issues through practical coping skills and positive life strategies. He hosts a weekly radio counseling talk-show, hosted the award winning TV show “Family Works” on PBS, is co-host of the syndicated television news feature “Culture Shock” and author of the book “Destination Success,” (Revell/3rd printing), which has been translated into 7 languages world-wide.
Mr. Cruz is a Nationally Certified Counselor, Certified Family Law Mediator and Executive Coach specializing in successful change management by confronting difficult situations to discover positive outcomes. He is a Certified Instructor through the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, and has trained over 1,000 community resource volunteers in the US National Guard ‘Trained Crisis Responder Program. Dwight worked with a national team of crisis experts at Ground Zero after the terrorist attacks on 9/11 in New York City and partners with the Critical Incident Stress Management team in Orlando, FL where he lives with his wife and children.
